Medicine names may be different Prescription medicines sometimes have different names when packaged for sale in different countries. For example, Protonix as it is called in the United States, is packaged with the name Pantoloc for Canadian pharmacies. Medicine names used on this site are the U.S. names. Also note that the dosage form is sometimes different. For example, a tablet may be blue in the United States, but white in Canada. Despite different names or appearances, the medications contain identical amounts of the active ingredient. Can't find your medicine? While many prescription medicines are listed on this website, you may find that some of the medicines you take are not listed.
